“Oh hi!!” – Capey, probably
The Endler fry eat some Sera O-Nip
This was the second time I tried them on the sticking O-Nip tablets, and it seemed to go over well. They made short enough work of the first piece that I put some more in.
That one big adult female is pretty much the tank bully, as you may have guessed from how she was behaving with the food. Enough little pieces fly off the tablets that I’m not too concerned about her managing to hog it all, at least.
From a few days ago, but I forgot to post it here then.
Feeling pretty confident IDing them as C. aenaes now.
They’ve been growing well enough that I am guessing they should be able to move into the main tank within a few weeks. I don’t think they would fit into anyone else’s mouth at this point, but better to be safe.
I did notice tonight that several fry around the same size have started coming out now in there, and would try to move them in with these if catching them were at all feasible. There’s also at least one larger, older fry who has apparently been lurking in there a while.
operation fish relocation
So as you all may know, i’m moving to fort wayne at the end of this month but i have some things i can’t take with me. one of those things is my 55 gallon fresh water fish tank.
I’ve been trying to sell it on craigslist and letgo and mercari but it looks like nobody is going to bite by the time i need to go and i can’t leave the tank with my parents because they will leave it to just die.
SO if you are interested in a fully stocked 55 gallon freshwater tank ready to be planted that would be perfect for a beginning aquarist/fishkeeper, and if you or anyone interested is within 50 miles of chicago in any direction, please please let me know!
at this point i would like to just give it all away to anybody who will care for it.
The substrate is ADA aquasoil and it is WELL finished leaching ammonia so it’s 100% ready for any plants you can throw at it.
it comes with two 48” beamswork LED bars, one for plant growth and one to show off fish colour. they both work and have a blue moonlight feature.
the tank comes with two Aqueon 75 filters stuffed with biological media as opposed to those foam pad inserts, and the only thing you need to change monthly is the pillow stuffing which i use for water polishing.
it’s a really easy tank to maintain. all you need to do is weekly water changes and feed the fish every other day
please spread this if you can? i really need to figure out a way to rehome this tank ASAP.
*yawn*
How long did you wait for this
This dog…caught a fish…using croutons.
Then walked off like Mufasa
One of my favorite pairs in our breeding program!

These little guys are starting to look more like corys and less like tadpoles.
They’re very active, and getting enough bigger that I would be considering moving them over to their own larger tank, if there were many more than 7 of them in that 2L capacity Marina hang-on.
