It doesn’t really have anything to do with the refugees that came during the Obama era, at least not when it comes to child trafficking, it has *ALWAYS* been a problem in the US, they’ve just gotten better at finding them. Most, if not all, of the children affected are children of illegal immigrants whose parents can’t report them missing for fear of getting deported. You know, those same illegal immigrants who work for less than minimum wage so that you and other US citizens can buy cheap produce and get your homes cleaned for cheap. Yeah, those, people from other countries who bought into the American dream and flee starvation and murder only to learn when they come to the US that streets are paved with shit rather than gold and the American dream is only attainable for the 1%. And despite this they chose to stay in your country illegally because where they come from is so much worse.
As for the Jihadists, that, surprise, surprise, aren’t actually a problem in the US, despite what the right wants you to believe, have entered your country legally on diplomat passports from your “allies” Saudi Arabia, because they know that you will blame Iran and Libya even though all the evidence shows that they are ARABS. But back to terrorism, most terrorist attacks in the US are not done my Jihadists or middle easterns, but motherfucking Caucasian right wing nazi fuckheads, and the victims are almost always jews, lgbtq+, or people of color.
So fuck off with blaming innocents and start blaming the people who are actually responsible for this shit instead.
Okay, last post is great, but I’m still fucked up by the term “Jihadist,” because it suggests that the division between Muslim extremists and other Muslims is the concept of Jihad – with other Muslims not having it or not taking it seriously or something. Erm… no. It’s a fundamental part of Islam. It’s just that it’s been interpreted by the mainstream as the struggle to better oneself and the world around them for centuries now, while these fuckers think it means killing anyone who doesn’t subscribe to the specific interpretation of Islam they do. (Which… isn’t even accurate to its historical military usage, but, again, they’re fuckers.)
Note that this isn’t just about Islam: the Uyghurs are an ethnic minority in a Han-dominated state and the government does not have a great track record with non-Han minorities

Question: if I see someone pull off a Hijab, what should I do? I know there are reasons they are worn so I want to if i should stand in between them and who did this, should i protect them from view somehow, or something else? This has been happening a lot so I feel it’s something everyone needs to know.
Good question! I cannot correctly and effectively answer, as I am a white, non-Muslim person; however, I will reblog in case any of my followers can answer.
I asked my Hijabi friend, so here’s one Hijabi’s answer:
“my opinion is, definitely try cover them or give them something to cover themselves with. And perhaps shoo off the person, without putting oneself in danger! God forbid, if that happened to me, I would like someone to come and comfort me and give me something to cover my hair with and then help me report it to the cops

yes !! everything said here is important af. if you see someone pull off a girl’s hijab immediately cover her hair and provide comfort. don’t talk to the perpetrator but try to get the woman out of there if you can. maybe if you have a scarf on you at the time give it to her so she can wear it until she’s alone and can replace her hijab. please please protect muslim girls because we already had it hard before donald trump became president and now its gonna be worse with people going around thinking their violence and cruelty is justified
for my other white ppl who might have a hard time, it’s my understanding that a hijab is like a major item of clothing, not an accessory like a hat or a scarf. so think abt it more like if someone just ripped someone’s shirt or skirt off. u don’t want to be left there exposed or have to walk home without it.

For men, yes please, we would prefer it if you avoided looking at our hair, and if we don’t have something to substitute as a hijab at that moment, anything you could lend us, a jacket, etc, would be very appreciated.
Also, since most girls avoid physical contact with men they’re not related to, please do not hug them, but rather shoo the offender away if you can, or at least escort the girl to a safe place. You can still offer words of encouragement and support. Furthermore, understand that the victim may not be very welcoming towards you because she’ll obviously be shaken, and won’t know where you are coming from. If that’s the case, please still give her something to cover herself (hijab is very important, think of it as someone ripping your shirt off) and stand some distance away until you are sure she’s in safe hands.

This literally put me in tears. Because it shows exactly how it is, not even just for flying. Every time I go out of my house, I have to be afraid. Although I live in a relatively safe area, knowing the animosity towards us and the fact that all it takes for trouble is ONE racist, I can’t feel safe any time I’m outside my house. Even inside my house I worry that one day someone might have tracked us down or something.
Even though literally all the facts show that the majority of Muslims are not terrorists, that the majority of terrorists are not Muslim, we still have a terrible image. Also, to clear up the common misconception: although many Arabs are Muslim, not all Muslims are Arabs and vice versa. Both Muslims and Arabs have bad representation in the media and suffer the results of that though. And although the word terrorist doesn’t strictly mean someone who inflicts terror onto others, I think it’s important to say that WE’RE the ones who are living in terror now. We’re the ones scared that people are going to discriminate, and if only if it was just discrimination. But no, we can’t even feel safe because all of what most people see in the media is negative towards us. We’re constantly scared for ourselves, for our families and friends that someone will discriminate against us and not give us a chance and act on that discrimination.
Punish a Muslim day is tomorrow. All Muslims, please stay home or lay low that day. I’ve had two people try to rip off my hijab already, so please be vigilant. This is not only in the UK, American bigots have willingly adopted it. Watch videos on self defense, pray from home, and always be alert because hatred can strike anywhere.
A Muslim woman was attacked in Michigan. Do not let this slide. Muslims have as much of a right to be safe and free as anyone else. Stay alert because news outlets in the US will barely talk about it.
To my Muslim followers, please be safe! Bring mace, do not let anyone put their fucking hands on you! You have a right to protect yourself! I hate telling you all to stay home if possible because you all have a right to live your life, but if this day is serious and people are out to harm you, it might be the best option.
To my non-Muslim followers, now is the time for us to stand with our Muslim friends and make sure they feel safe. If you see something, report it, take a picture or whatever, and make sure you stop it (in a safe manner where you nor the victim is harmed). If they are scared to walk alone, please walk with them. We need to keep our eyes and ears open.
