The suckered have to admit they bought the con job. Own up. You got played. Your judgment is flawed. You like racial narratives that appeal to the worst in people.
We don’t need to beg. The European court of justice today confirmed Britain can go back and withdraw, without any of the EU stopping us or putting extra demands on us.
We can pull article 50 ( which was the parliamentary starting gun for Brexit) which Mrs May triggered far too quickly.
Today she postponed the vote in Parliament because she knew that the deal she had made with the EU wouldn’t get through tomorrow.
By the way both trump and Brexit can be linked to Russian financial meddling. ( they appear to have bankrolled the Vote leave organisation.)
Polite reminder. Trump & Brexit are not 2 different things. They are the same thing. Same companies. Same data. Same Facebook. Same Russians. Same Cambridge Analytica. Same Robert Mercer. Same Steve Bannon. Same Breitbart. Same Alexander Nix. Same Donald Trump. Same Nigel Farage.
That said, I don’t think many supporters of either side of that mess are ever going to be able to admit they were purposely fed all kinds of bad information. Maybe find some other targets to double down on with the blaming and scapegoating, but face the idea that they were wrong? Unfortunately unlikely, even to themselves.
How to reasonably deal with that and move forward? Hard to figure out. But, that does seem to be the situation in front of us.
On occasion, there is wisdom to be found on reddit.
I might also mention that this White House “secret agent” was very prideful of the GOP tax scam for the wealthy, the deregulation that has allowed companies to pollute again, and the bloated military budget that funds war machines over actual people. As if they alone were able to get those things accomplished.
So this was a couple of days ago, but it’s still worth posting in that it was said by the president of the United States …. in an interview …. and said in all seriousness. Here’s the exact quote:
“The Republicans don’t win and that’s because of potentially illegal votes. When people get in line that have absolutely no right to vote and they go around in circles. Sometimes they go to their car, put on a different hat, put on a different shirt, come in and vote again. Nobody takes anything. It’s really a disgrace what’s going on.”

here’s the thing: he thinks he is flexin. He’s utterly without aesthetic knowledge or the wisdom to recognize value, so if you just tell him something is expensive, he instantly thinks it’s good and he’s better than you for having it. So he does stupid shit like buy expensive italian suits without getting them taken in, or getting fake tans and hair plugs without thinking about how they look because they cost him a lot, so it must look good. So he looks like an unusually large toddler in his sunday suit from the husky boys section of Men’s Warehouse who got into mommy’s makeup kit, and it cost him 10 large to look like that.

I am usually not a huge fan of going after people’s appearance. Including with him, where there is so much actual harmful behavior to criticize. Whether or not someone is behaving decently and fulfilling whatever responsibilities they’ve taken on, how they look while they doing that is generally not even relevant. A lot of the time, it just feels like a cheap shot.
In this case, though? These observations seem pretty much spot on–and in a way that reflects how the man keeps being motivated to approach the world in general. It’s disturbing.

The Finns are posting pics raking or even vacuuming the forests, to ridicule Trump’s claim that Finland’s president told him their nation collects the woods to prevent fires. (Finland’s President said he never discussed it with Trump.)

The Finnish President probably did say it. Sarcastically and in jest, which any normal remotely intelligent person would have gotten the joke. But if it’s a person with the temperament of a toddler and the vocabulary of a 5th grader, then no.
“Rake the forest floor” is the brain-vomit of a mediocre man who misremembers something he once half-heard and never fully understood at the time but now considers himself an expert on the subject and oh, the absolute and serene confidence of a moron is indeed a thing to behold.
Don’t let anyone forget the fact that the President of the United States skipped out on visiting military graves for Armistice Day’s 100th anniversary.

He has golfed in the rain. He was inaugurated in the rain. Other leaders–and his own subordinates–made it out there in the rain.
President Trump, though? The man who loves our troops and our country? Yeah, it’s weird that he didn’t go to the ceremony and chose to stay in his hotel room. He left our country on Veteran’s Day weekend to visit Paris for the reunion, but could not be bothered to face a little rain in order to pay his respects to the troops.
He forgets the names of the fallen. He cuts funding for veteran welfare programs. He sends our soldiers to the border for needless exercises in intimidation. Then he claims that others are weak on the military and don’t respect our troops?
What a joke.
How do you make a celebration all about other people into something all about you?
….. by not going.
He skipped visiting Arlington Cemetery yesterday as well. Like seriously, he is the biggest piece of shit.
