i haven’t posted about this on tumblr yet, just facebook. a kid in my little brother’s class died during gym class. if you google it, it says he passed out for “no reason”. it’s a lie.

our family has personally had a problem with the gym teacher. my little brother has asthma and is made to bring his asthma pump every gym day because of how hard she pushes the kids. you’re made to do four laps, and if you can’t make it, you’re made to do four more. in this case, kamarr couldn’t do four.. so he was made to do eight. he couldn’t do eight.. so he was made to do twelve. you’re not allowed to take a break or get water. we live in south florida. it’s HOT. he passed out and pretty much died in front of all the kids.

when police arrived, they interviewed the kids (my brother included) and the kids told them he was doing extra laps for punishment. the school said “that’s absolutely not true”. again, IT’S A LIE. my mom has been complaining about the gym teacher FOR MONTHS. her complaints fell on deaf ears and now a child is dead. she’s also still my brother’s gym teacher. she should be in jail im

but here’s the gofundme to cover funeral expenses.  we’re trying to figure out a way to get our voices heard for this family because the school is trying to save face and basically lie to them. if y’all got any ideas let me know. #ripkamarrscott

This is the most German comic I have ever seen. And it’s not even about Germans.

Ok I just now noticed the birds. I thought this was just a comic about bread and respectful distance. I stand with my point though.

That’s a new one.

Though, maybe that’s an idea. With the number of staff bleeding out of the system now, the recruiting people might not want to ask too many questions. And I could certainly do a better job than either of the last GPs I saw.

his findings

1. white racists (like you “good” whites’ uncles, grandmas, neighbors, and friends) only change their behavior when they are confronted by other whites with more status.

2. when Black people confront the racists attacking us, they just pile on harder because they get a kick out of knowing they’ve gotten to us.

tl;dr – just like Black people have been telling you for decades, it’s up to whites to end racism and you can’t do it by remaining friends with your cousin and grandma who voted Trump because “fuck political correctness”.

sure, when my grandfather fought nazis and fascism he was “a hero” and “on the right side of history” but when i do it im “way too sensitive” and “no better than they are”

That’s because when our white grandparents fought Nazis, it was for fear of them taking power away from other white people.

White Europeans and Americans were explicitly fine with genocide and the ideologies that led to it – a great many people, including Churchill, vocally supported most of what the Nazis were doing. Their only fight with Nazis was to maintain sovereignty from takeover.

Today’s Nazi-fighters usually have a problem with white supremacy and the antisemitism and racism etc behind it – which most of our white grandparents didn’t see a problem with and neither do many white people today.

This is why so many people don’t see any reason to stop the Nazis now, or why many others think it’s purely a struggle for Democrats or other neoliberal parties in other countries who might lose political power if they gain traction. Many people don’t see Nazis as a real problem unless they threaten the political power of other white people.

White supremacist organizations and movements have been a life-threatening scourge for people of colour and Jewish people this entire time. It’s really important that we focus on that as the real threat, or we risk having the same myopic perspective as generations past.

This was a great addition to my original post so I’m reblogging it.
