Squish – who was in her senior years – was an avid fan of sleeping on Sara’s limbs, and also of taking showers in the bathtub. She also had an unmistakable facial expression at all times..

Sadly my dear friend Sara Liss, who was owned by Squish as much as Sara owned her, had to put Squish to sleep on November 7, 2018. Sara says “She went peacefully, safe in my arms, purring as I scritched her in her favorite spots until it was time, knowing I was there and that I loved her with all my heart.“

Squish was a source of great comfort and support to Sara and a very delightful floof, and Sara is naturally heartbroken. So is Ava the cat, Squish’s constant companion. However, there are still vet bills to pay. Sara shouldn’t have to worry about finagling the funds to make sure all that happens.

Let’s make that a non-worry. If my ballpark estimate is too high, funds will be used for taking care of the remaining cat Ava, and any future cats. If it is too low, I will adjust and update the amount. Ava, Sara, and I thank you!

baapi-makwa:

Boozhoo (hello), my name is Ken, I am a disabled Ojibwe artist from northern Wisconsin who has recently relocated to northern Minnesota to be closer to my children and have better access to healthcare. I am writing this post because I am having a hard time making ends meet and any donations I could possibly receive at this time would be greatly appreciated. Recent events have left my bank account depleted and I am still having to help cover the utility bills back home on the reservation for my father who is also disabled.

I do have PayPal, that is really the best way to donate at this time, the email I use for that is: baapimakwa@gmail.com, or you can click here.

My Service Dog got attacked. (Lend a hand?)

This is Gia. She is the sweetest, most loving service dog. She was basically retired, but still does her job occasionally. She got mauled by another dog about a week ago, and the image on the right is her now.
For More Images/Proof: Go Here *GRAPHIC*

Now, I’m not asking for anyone to cover her vet fees, or to help us put the other dog down. What we REALLY need, is some Pajamas for Gia. I have created a wishlist of Jammies for her. Now, you’re probably asking why she needs Jammies. She is a double coated dog, a chow chow. Without her coat, she can’t keep herself warm or regulate her temperature. And we live in Ohio, where it gets very cold. Our power has already gone out once this winter, Gia won’t be okay if she gets too cold. She can’t go outside, she can’t sleep, she can’t heal. These pajamas also help to keep the bandage on her neck stable, and keeps her from rubbing it off. She is bleeding, oozing over herself constantly, so we need a lot of pajamas to keep rotating them. They won’t just get used once, they’ll be used all winter and through the spring even! Until she is healed, they will be used and very appreciated.

If you can’t help us by buying her some pajamas, can you please reblog this?
We got hit with $3000 of vet bills that we do not have the money for. And she is due for another surgery to remove the rest of the dead skin next week.

Here are My Commissions if you can’t buy her one, but want to help!
And Here is My Ko-Fi If you’d rather that.

And HERE IS HER WISHLIST.

Thank you SO much for sharing and helping out!

Please don’t let this post die down! Someone was SO wonderful and already bought her a sweater so she can go outside when it snows. If that person wants to message me, I’ll send them pictures of her in it (if they want!) !!!

Please keep sharing ♡ Gia really needs clothes so she doesn’t get cold. Her face is swelling and she is going to the vet on Monday to get it checked out.

Poor doggy 😦

Migrant workers were pressured into working in dangerous conditions during the wildfires. The payment structure for farmworkers incentivizes them to work through legally required breaks, something that was already under scrutiny due to a string of heat related deaths. Farms have been noncompliant or insufficiently compliant with providing workers with safety equipment and information. There have been a lot of awful stories coming out of the fires but this is really, really atrocious.

805undocufund is fundraising for migrant workers and their families. If you’re able to give something, please do.
