So I illustrated and laid out the cover of @reddragdiva’s bitcoin book that came out today. If you’re interested in reading about the myriad problems with cryptocurrencies and a general warning about tech journalism you can buy the book here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073CPP581
Boozhoo (hello), my name is Ken, I am a disabled Ojibwe artist from northern Wisconsin. I am writing this post because I am having a hard time making ends meet and any donations I could possibly receive at this time would be greatly appreciated. Recent events have left my bank account depleted and my cupboards bare, I have some food but it will not last and I still do not know how I will cover all the utility bills.
I do have PayPal, that is really the best way to donate at this time, the email I use for that is: baapimakwa@gmail.com, or you can click here.
This cat, who we’re calling Goldie showed up in our back yard this week, but is clearly not feral. She is a very special kitty and I think the right person would LOVE to have her as a pet.
She is an extremely relaxed and (probably) middle-aged lady. Not a playful kitten who demands a lot of attention, but a very friendly and cuddly people-oriented cat.
Favorite activities include:
*Sitting next to you on the chair or couch *Curling up at your feet and rubbing her face on your shoes *Getting her belly rubbed *Meowing “Hello” when she sees you for the first time in a while *Getting her ears and face scritched *Being picked up *EATING (seriously, this girl’s been powering through food! probably hasn’t had regular meals in a while. Just dry kibble, nothing fancy – she wasn’t interested in wet food we tried to give her)
She seems infinitely adaptable to changes in situation and not anxious or neurotic the way a lot of cats who’ve gone through rough times are. She also has encountered the feral cats who hang out in our backyard and, in keeping with her extremely chill nature, hasn’t been scared of them or aggressive towards them. She even let one eat out of her food bowl while she just sat all relaxed-like less than a foot away. So I imagine she’d do OK in a household with other cats.
We would totally adopt her, but we already have a cat who is very territorial and can’t have other kitties in the house. If you’re in LA and have room in your house/heart for this skinny girl, please let me know! Email me at jfruh@jfruh.com for more info. And please share this post to those who might be interested!
Heyyyyyy so if you can help me and my kids out, I’d be really appreciative?
I’m kind of just needing a little extra help so I can keep the lights and such on. I started work today but I’m not going to receive an actual paycheck beyond just orientation until August 4th, I believe? So until then, I’m just trying to get by.
I appreciate it!
I’m halfway there now, y’all! Thank you so much!

Ahhhhh so I’m probably going to have to increase my goal because my car literally died on the side of the road and I’m gonna have to get it towed and figure out how to get to work.
This is very forward, but my friend’s cat, Bobby, recently got in an accident. This morning, my friend found out he’ll be needing surgery by Thursday for his broken ankle. The medical costs come up to 1,000 Euro, and unfortunately, my friend can’t cover the costs. Our closest friends are trying to help her anyway we can, but what she really needs are funds. Please help us help Bobby! It’s 100% ok if you can’t donate, in which case please just share this post.
