You may have noticed I haven’t been online for a few weeks. That’s because
I’ve been very sick with an upper respiratory infection that left me
hardly able to speak or leave bed for weeks, and cost me dearly in
medications.
I’ve just been to my fourth doctor appointment this month and been slapped with an enormous, unexpected bill. This has come atop my insurance premiums now taking a quarter of my tiny income each month, and being prescribed
important and expensive new medications not covered by insurance.
I was able
to work out a payment plan for my doctor bill but even the smallest
payment possible leaves me just barely enough to afford my prescriptions
for the month, with mayyyybe $10 left over for food and transportation
and any other necessities – including decongestants for the hacking,
horrible cough I still have.
I’m multiply disabled and even
before these huge medical expenses, my total income is around half what a full
time minimum wage job pays.
I hate to ask again, but I’m a
little desperate. If you’re a financially comfortable adult who
genuinely wants to help,

I would be deeply grateful for even a dollar. Please don’t feel pressured, though – I know things are tough for a
lot of people right now.

Friends! Please spread the word! @tortoiserescue, creators of #worldturtleday, need our help! They not only spread love and education, but they also rehab and provide a sanctuary for so many turtles and tortoises!
Everything has been destroyed by the fires in California. The turtle and tortoise homes, medical records, files, and sadly several shell friends were lost as well. The fires aren’t over and they need our help to help secure the turtles and tortoises that have survived, so so many, including those in their hospital facility.
This is the current status of their location. They will be posting a go fund me when they can but please, if you can, give a little and spread the word.
Hi so Lady definitely needs to have surgery to have her liver back in her abdomen and not in her chest. While her liver enzymes were fine, the stuff the liver produces were a little low. Her breathing weirdness and coughing could also be due to the liver pressing on her lungs. The vet suggested I budget about $2500 and needless to say that’s not something I can save on my own in a timely manner. Any help and getting the word out would be incredibly helpful.

I have a fear that when she has symptoms that if I don’t watch her or if I go to sleep, I’m going to wake up or check on her and see that she’s suffocated. Her breathing rate is a little over normal range and I know if I took her to the vet they’d probably say she’s fine (for having her liver in her lungs).
$576 left please share I’m a wreck and I’m only going to get worse the more this goes on. I’ll watch her or think about her symptoms and just start sobbing. I’m so worried and afraid.

Wednesday, November 14th – Hi everyone, I’m Gemma and I’m so sorry to ask this again so soon from my previous postbut, is anyone able to send me a few £’s so I can eat this month and December?
As many of you may already know, I have been struggling horribly these past few months to make ends meet and pay off my bills due to my welfare benefits (Universal Credit and Housing Benefit) having been revoked because of my mental illnesses. And despite my numerous job applications, I haven’t been successful and without any government help, I’ve been struggling to get by and bills are constantly popping up, leaving me further in debt.
I am not due to receive a partial benefit payment of £185 until November 25th, all of which will most likely go towards my rent, leaving me with nothing for bills and food and I know that I have asked this a lot these past few months and all the help I have previously received has literally helped me from spiraling into more debt and helped me to eat and stay warm so far and I absolutely hate to ask for more help but I have no one else to turn to. I’m literally freezing, hungry and drowning in debt at the moment because of my sanctions and since this situation has been ongoing for so long, government aid/food banks are unable to offer me any more assistance.
If anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would literally save my life and, sharing definitely helps just as much as donations. Nobody has to donate if they can’t or don’t want to, I know we’re all struggling. Thank you for your help 💖

$175 away from a shower chair that will fit my needs, miigwech (thank you), every little bit helps.
Still $120 short, there is a county program that might help me get one cheaper but time is an issue and it could be a long wait.
