@katisconfused – I didn’t even think of that at the time, but I was getting pretty tired by then 😊 It is kind of a shame, though. (Same with your missing out on that gym and stops, for that matter.)

@ajax-daughter-of-telamon – Definitely. Even if the pub has apparently been under new management for a while. It has been going on 45 years, though. *wry smile*

I knew they had started out somewhere around London, but yeah.

That’s just the best selling artists connected to each borough. That person stuck Iron Maiden in the next one over, but apparently that’s where Steve Harris is from.

@ajax-daughter-of-telamon – Exactly 😐

I’m also hoping he has managed to find better work/educational opportunities since then, because you can probably imagine how disruptive that whole situation was.

Hadn’t thought about it in a lot of years. But, it’s also extra overwhelming as a reminder of just how many people do end up in similarly hard circumstances.

@goblinthief – Thanks! That does sound like it could help keep some wildlife out.

Here, the only critters that you have to worry about raiding your garbage are rats and urban foxes. Hoping that just regular bins with lids that clamp on should do the trick. (Nothing with clever little hands to open them like raccoons. Or even stray dogs to knock them around.)

For whatever reason, our local council insists on bare bags at the curb for collection. Between executive function and honestly Mr. C being stubborn again, we’ve been doing without even cans to store them in until they need to go to the curb. (The neighbors all get bare bags piled up too, that I can see.)

So of course rats have started raiding the bags again lately, with the warm weather. It really freaks me out after they were getting into the house before, so yeah hopefully just getting that into some protective container will make them look elsewhere for easier pickings before that happens again 😦

@natalunasans – From what I understand, at least, that usually has more to do with the cumulative damage building up and catching up to you over time. Definitely feeling that more with some joint/muscle garbage myself by now.

Not so much that your gums, etc. will actually get more fragile over time. I guess that could be possible in some cases, but otherwise that part doesn’t seem to have changed for me at least.

@natalunasans – You’ve got that right, and sympathies 😩

Totally understandable. I wouldn’t necessarily expect other people to notice the cribbing, anyway, unless they saw those posts very close together. It did mostly stick in my mind because, like I said, I hunted down the source and pasted in the text rather than trying to transcribe it. My brain is pretty good at seizing onto phrasing, to begin with, though with plenty of lapses sometimes too 🙄

(I also didn’t mean to come across as passive-aggressive at anyone, BTW, much less people who had no idea. Just didn’t want to add anything directly on to that post, with zero spoons right now to deal with any attempts at harassment.)

@katisconfused – It does eat some battery, that’s for sure 😨 I don’t play without a power bank on hand, learned the hard way. Haven’t noticed much overheating, at least, though I’ve seen some other people who did feel like that hurt their battery life expectancy.

The N10 battery isn’t supposed to be user replaceable either, but at least it does look easy. Not worried about voiding warranty on a tablet that’s at least 4 years old, anyway 🙄 Better to get a shop to do it if in doubt, though.

If it’s older than a year or so, a replacement should make a noticeable difference. Probably worth a try if you can afford to.

@katisconfused – Hahaha, thanks.

Their water was out a couple of weeks ago 😊 As I found out when she asked me if ours was working. It felt kind of mean, but I couldn’t help but hope it would take a while for I guess the water company to send somebody out. No such luck for us, but one quiet day was welcome.
