im sorry rosie youve been a good friend

A bilingual sign tells you more than just where you need to go.
It tells you a country has more than one native language.
It tells you how the names for places are connected, or sometimes not, between languages.
It teaches you what others call that place in their language.
some signs tell you that the business owner
used google translate but hey at least theytriedsometimes a bilingual street sign tells the english-speaker that we’re waaaaay more welcomed in someone else’s country than they are in ours. and we should think about that

ALDKAKSKAK
did anyone ever figure out bull tit anus though
I heard once that “bull tit anus,” is a company somewhere in Asia (might be China, but I cant remember exactly) that is supposed to be named “Bull Titan US,” but whoever made the sign doesn’t have a good grasp on typography in English, so… it’s “BULL TIT ANUS.”
I had to look for more info out of slightly morbid curiosity, and yep. Looks like they were trying for “Bull Titan (US)”. The Chinese characters in the corner apparently do translate as “Giant Bull”.
It looks to have multiple locations, too. Another version of their sign that somebody posted through that link (from Fuzhou in 2009). No spaces this time, but some brackets at least :

There are few things as profoundly funny as unnecessary/ominous quotations.
