Visually impaired tabletop merch!
[Image description: A tweet from Dots RPG product, @DotsRPG, reading: “Help us spread the word about @DotsRPG! We are bringing #braille rulebooks, #rpgdice, and various gaming aids to the #blind and #visuallyimpaired. Head to our site, shapeways shop (bit.ly/2ugzieM) or thingiverse (bit.ly2GfwEaH) to get your own braille #dice!”
Below that is a photo of a polyhedral dice set with a D4, D8, 2 D6s, 2D10s, a D12, and a D20 in green. All dice have raised edges about each face. The D4 and D6s have the braille for a number preceding each number while the D8 and above have textured edges to denote the bottom of most faces.]
This seems pretty cool so far. Apparently they had some input from a visually impaired person that inspired the project in the early stages but that person unfortunately passed away. Looking at their Twitter they do seem to be taking feedback from visually impaired users though!
The dice that are available to purchase are unfortunately pretty expensive (>$50 for a set) but that price is set by the people doing the 3D printing for them and they are working on that.
