This was not a case of the plane rolling over a gator that had chosen to flop on the runway. The article says the 11-foot-long gator jumped up and hit the plane’s wing while the plane was moving.
My airport has signs up all over the place informing pilots that all wildlife strikes must be reported to the FAA, but, uh… this is a little more than Massachusetts pilots have to contend with.
