Malagasy narrow-Striped Mongoose born recently

Keepers at ZSL London Zoo welcomed the birth of a Malagasy
narrow-striped mongoose
on Monday 22 May after parents Obi and Bernard
successfully bred for the second time in six months.

The latest
arrival in our rainforest biome is Endangered in its native home of
Madagascar, making the birth particularly significant for the team at
the Zoo.

Mum and baby are both doing extremely well, with older sister Nancy also getting involved in looking after the tiny pup.

Hello, I am a single mom. I have six children, four of who are grown and no longer live at home. My two youngest, Emma and Adam, live at home with me still. My oldest daughter, Cassie, struggles with seizures and cannot drive. She and her children, my grandchildren, Bri and Sebastian, also depend on me to go to doctor appointments, the store, and anywhere else they need to go. They live about twenty minutes from me. This morning, my car died, and it is beyond fixing. This is devastating to us. It is unfathomably important for me to be able to have a vehicle, because we are not in walking distance to anything. My husband left after seven years of marriage, forcing me into a tiny house far from town, as that is all I can afford. We cannot make it without a vehicle as we cannot get to the store, doctors and dentist appointments, and in the case of an emergency we are 45 minutes from the nearest hospital. I am disabled and on a very, very limited income. There is no way it is within my grasp to buy another car without help. Please, please, help me to continue to help my children and grandchildren survive with adequate food and health care. I have set the amount of this fundraiser to the general amount that big enough vehicles near me are running right now. Anything you can give is so much appreciated, and if you cannot donate, please pass this fundraiser along to your social media friends and family. Thank you so, so much. Michelle
