Also, some fun with the relatively new S7 Edge this evening.
It decided to pull a “hang up and suddenly reboot itself” number when I was just using Chrome. Not much of a problem with that phone so far–so fair enough, I can wait.
Nope, it then decided to hang up for a while on the Samsung logo. Then it stayed totally nonresponsive with a blank screen and the blue LED steadily on. No luck with any of the button combos for a force restart. And of course that’s a model that won’t let you just pull the battery. 😬
Current plan: let the battery drain itself, then try charging it and seeing if it will boot back up. Apparently that does work in some cases, and I’m really hoping not to have to take it in to an EE store. Especially with all the trouble getting out lately. (Rather try that than shipping it to them, though.)
At least I haven’t been getting out much to need the actual phone plan, and I do still have the S5 which is fine on WiFi. Still aggravating, though.
Now we’ll see how long it takes for the battery to run out, since it was at probably 70% when it pulled that shit. And that does have the best battery life of any Android phone I’ve used so far 🙄
Well, the LED finally did go out. So, I put it on charge, and at least it was showing the normal charge screen. Now we’ll see what the situation is after I get some sleep, and hopefully it will charge in the meantime *fingers crossed*
