I just learned about the “Husband Stitch” a few days ago and i’m still fucking mortified. Women’s bodies do not exist for the pleasure of their boyfriends or husbands.
Doctors who perform this procedure without the consent of the pregnant person are evil misogynists, undeserving of the privilege of working with pregnant women and other people.

If this is done incorrectly (and yes, I know someone this was done incorrectly to) it makes sex really uncomfortable, like realllly uncomfortable, and can require follow-up surgery to fix. The person I know who this was done to ended up with the, uh, outside getting the ‘husband stitch’ but the inside… not? So she ended up with a little ‘lip’ of tissue that would get seriously irritated during sex, and over a decade later had to have another doctor go back in and snip that ‘extra stitch’ open.
I was first introduced to the husband stitch in 2014, when a friend in medical school told me about a birth her classmate observed. After the baby was delivered, the doctor said to the woman’s husband, “Don’t worry, I’ll sew her up nice and tight for you,” and the two men laughed while the woman lay between them, covered in her own and her baby’s blood and feces. The story terrified me, the laughter in particular, signaling some understanding of wrongdoing, some sheepishness in doing it anyway. The helplessness of the woman, her body being altered without her consent by two people she has to trust: her partner, her doctor.

Just adding my voice that this is indeed real and it was done to me. I haven’t enjoyed sex since I had my son and honestly I’m concerned about having a second child because I was so “small” the first time around I ended up with 3rd degree tearing.
Yes I have that same lip and the only reason I never went back to get it fixed is the conception/birth was so traumatic I couldn’t bring myself to be touched like that by doctors for years.
Just, be aware and let someone advocate for you when you’re in labor. Ask your OBGYN their thoughts on this and choose carefully.
Yes! And also be aware that if you get a pet for your kid, no matter how many “this is your responsibility” speeches you give, you are realistically going to be the one looking after the thing, so if you don’t want that responsibility, don’t get it. I saw way too many rodents go to homes where I knew the kid would get bored and the parent wouldn’t give a shit when I worked at a pet store. And if you don’t have room for a proper sized cage or a suitable environment, don’t get it. And don’t go by what the box says, shitty tiny cages will tell you they’re suitable for rats and cages with no depth will say they’re fine for gerbils, and shoddy business practices and sales target pressures means staff often won’t tell you otherwise.
Equally, there’s no “easy” fish, they ALL need filters and proper tank maintenance, bowls and vases are not suitable environments, and letting a fish die because you and your kid can’t be arsed to look after it is cruel.
Sorry for the rant, but shitty small animal care and the idea that hamsters and goldfish are disposable is a huge rage button for me. Little creatures are as worthy of love and care as cats and dogs.

basically this racist white bitch (dont know her name, but her finsta is @breezy_bumble_b) was roommates with a black girl named jazzy rowe. things were already bad with them, since the racist bitch was clearly racist, so jazzy had recently moved out. a short time ago, said racist bitch posted this comment on her instagram:
im not sure how long it took for the screenshot to reach jazzy, but i know that she said one of her neighbors friends told her. the racist bitch had around 100 followers on her finsta, so the fact that only ONE person contacted jazzy is disgusting to me
jazzy has stated that she was told repeatedly that nothing can be done about this until the school finishes its investigation, and im willing to bet the school will drag this shit on forever to make people forget. the fact that this racist bitch is still going to school here is insane. this is an obvious hate crime and she needs to be arrested for deliberately trying to harm a black student. if i find out anything else about the situation, ill keep you guys posted

Okay, this is a misdirection that abuses most of english speaker’s unability to speak portuguese. First off, this is webpage that is offering mobile data plans, not internet access, which always have been found themselves capped in their use. The offer that the site is presenting is the service so certain applications on your phone do not consume the data you already have contracted previously.
I’m in favor of Net Neutrality based on the principles of avoiding the possibility of privates censoring content and blocking free access to information, but lying and misdirection will never give you an upper hand in a debate, only discredit you and corrupt the cause you’re defending.
