doctor, looking at a patient with severe physical health conditions and a medical history the size of an encyclopedia: is this anxiety?

Pretty much my entire experience with doctors to date lmao.

I’m still not over the dr who told me the sliver of wood in my foot was a symptom of anxiety.

Who tf think “wood in the foot” is anxiety??

She really wanted me to start taking anti-psychotics that she thought would “cure” my chronic pain, and persisted in trying to get me to believe I was imagining things for about a year after I refused to accept her diagnosis and kept asking for referals. When I showed up to get the sliver taken out (was in too deep for me to do it and it had been a painful few days of limping) she was prodding and poking at it like the piece of wood wasnt visibly RIGHT THERE and told me if I was properly medicated for my “issues” I wouldn’t have phantom pains.

So y’know. Gaslighting piece of shit who has since retired. I did file a complaint before anyone jumps on me to do so. But I lack the physical and mental energy to really do much else. I’m honestly just…so tired.
