I need help

My name is Duckie.

I am 26 years old, disabled, fighting every day to keep my head above water.

I have been diabetic since I was 3 years old. Since then I have had a hard streak health wise.

I have neuropathy from high blood sugars damaging my nerves. I struggle with pain daily. I also have gastroparesis, which makes me nauseous all the time. That plus my blood sugars being so brittle, it’s impossible for me to keep any job.

I keep trying. I push myself to exhaustion.

I have been fighting to get on disability benefits, though so far I have only been denied. I even hired lawyers, and they had to let me go.

So I am applying again, jumping through the hoops. I don’t know what I am going to do if they don’t help me.

Already I have to fight my insurance for medications.

My partner let’s me stay with her, but before this I was homeless.

I can’t go back to that
