People online tend to infantilize misogynists online, as “lonely young men” who are just frustrated. If you look at the communities themselves (which I don’t recommend doing directly – instead check out “We hunted the Mammoth” a blog that reports on manoshere communities)
The whole “incel” idea is centered around hatred of women, and blaming women for problems in their lives. They are not all young, they are not all going through a “phase” where they say these kinds of disgusting things as “edgy jokes”.
These communities are dangerous, especially to people who are vulnerable.

Boozhoo (hello), my name is Ken, I am a disabled Ojibwe artist from northern Wisconsin.
