my mama got home today and she was so excited. she said she got me a present, so then i was excited too. i had no idea what she got me. she said ‘close your eyes and put your hands out’, so i did. and then i felt her put something in my hands. i opened my eyes and

“i saw it and it was chubby and you called a frog ‘big boy’ last night and i had to get it! it’s big boy!”

let me demonstrate my point wrt doctoring social media using my twitter

image

here’s my original tweet here

if i right click and click “inspect element” on chrome and find the line that says my actual tweet like so

image

and select that line, right click, and click “edit as html”

image

I can type in whatever i want like this

image

and like that i can make a screenshot that says that i like to eat children and use it to call myself out

image

and thats why you should’t believe screenshots of tweets at face value w/o a link to the original tweet

this is terrifying

this is terrifying because no matter how many notes this post gets, people on tumblr still don’t think about sources

We drafted the final boss

But now it has to pass the House of Representatives and then get a signature from Donald Trump. Don’t just stand by and watch. PLEASE go to the voting booth for the midterm elections. I understand that people are jaded and that there absolutely is corruption on both sides, but when it comes to major (for the general public) issues it’s inaccurate to say both parties are the problem. There is absolutely one party that focuses on protecting the wealthy rather than the disenfranchised.

Here’s a list of all the senators who voted in favor of repealing net neutrality:

  • Alexander (R-TN)
  • Barrasso (R-WY)
  • Blunt (R-MO)
  • Boozman (R-AR)
  • Burr (R-NC)
  • Capito (R-WV)
  • Cassidy (R-LA)
  • Corker (R-TN)
  • Cornyn (R-TX)
  • Cotton (R-AR)
  • Crapo (R-ID)
  • Cruz (R-TX)
  • Daines (R-MT)
  • Enzi (R-WY)
  • Ernst (R-IA)
  • Fischer (R-NE)
  • Flake (R-AZ)
  • Gardner (R-CO)
  • Graham (R-SC)
  • Grassley (R-IA)
  • Hatch (R-UT)
  • Heller (R-NV)
  • Hoeven (R-ND)
  • Hyde-Smith (R-MS)
  • Inhofe (R-OK)
  • Isakson (R-GA)
  • Johnson (R-WI)
  • Lankford (R-OK)
  • Lee (R-UT)
  • McConnell (R-KY)
  • Moran (R-KS)
  • Paul (R-KY)
  • Perdue (R-GA)
  • Portman (R-OH)
  • Risch (R-ID)
  • Roberts (R-KS)
  • Rounds (R-SD)
  • Rubio (R-FL)
  • Sasse (R-NE)
  • Scott (R-SC)
  • Shelby (R-AL)
  • Sullivan (R-AK)
  • Thune (R-SD)
  • Tillis (R-NC)
  • Toomey (R-PA)
  • Wicker (R-MS)
  • Young (R-IN)

Furthermore, here’s a list of the Republicans who voted to save Net Neutrality:

  • Collins (R-ME)
  • Kennedy (R-LA)
  • Murkowski (R-AK)

I will not be making a list of Democrats who voted to repeal Net Neutrality because none of them did. This is NOT over. The Senate vote was the easiest part of the process. Passing the House will be significantly more difficult and the final step is that Donald Trump has to sign the bill. The fact that the bill passed is great, but the prospect of it passing the House is iffy and the final step being Donald Trump’s signature when Michael Cohen’s been taking AT&T money is not promising. Don’t celebrate yet. Keep fighting back and keep voting. Pay attention to your local and state governments and their voting too because it’s likely they’re also fucking you in some way. And anytime you think a Republican seems decent, check their voting record. Actions speak louder than words, but when it comes to politics we often let words speak louder than actions, in particular when it comes to holding people accountable.

“Growing up lacrosse has always been there for me. When I played, it was always with a clear mind. That’s the way it was taught to me and I would never do something that would risk not playing this game. Off the field I can’t say the same.
This article touched me, I can relate to it, but what got me was the fact that these kids can’t play lacrosse right now. I think the first thing that needs to happen is for these programs and uslacrosse to come together to make sure that these kids can play. I will do everything in my power to help this situation.
The racism is not to be ignored. It needs to be acknowledged and dealt with. Parents should not have to prepare their kids for racists and hateful comments. And looking back that’s exactly what my parents did.
In a nutshell we Can do better.

This is the thanks my people get for creating this game. 🤦‍♀️ This is what happens when you forget the true origins and meaning of the Creator’s game. I think a history lesson should be at least required before picking up a ká·nhya (stick).

I just starting bawling my eyes out

Slavery was a choice though right?

My grandpa lives in clarksdale, Mississippi and HATES white people with a passion. I grew up listening to stories like this. His cousins had to flee to Chicago in the 60s for trying to fight a group of white landowners who wanted to hang them for trying to leave the land they worked on.

Slavery turned into “share cropping” if you kept your slaves ignorant and isolated then they didn’t know they had been freed. This went on well into the 60’s the fucking 60’s these people are still alive dealing with this type of shit in the deep south.

My friend said to “fact check” this and I’m like…black ppl are literally saying they were kept as slaves what is there to fact check. Anyway, sharecropping was still slavery as far as I’m concerned.

I did not know this

I didn’t either and it breaks my heart to see stuff like this. To hear of more darkness that was just swept under the rug like this.
