Fika is the Swedish tradition of having

so after reblogging this to find out if other countries had this as well, i found out the following:

  • germany: yeah we have something similar called “Kaffee und Kuchen” 🙂
  • america: i work 16 hours per day at minimum wage and get a 7 minute unpaid lunch break, and instead of “fika” i have “suffering” and “death”

Impressed again at how sticky it can feel here, when it’s not actually that hot by the thermometer. We did get a brief thunderstorm earlier with a little rain for that extra humidity factor, but still.

It’s only 23C/73F out there right now, probably a few degrees higher in the house. So I’ve still got this lovely layer of sweat that’s not going anywhere 😳
