One thing with the Diane Abbott video, which I wasn’t about to go into earlier: no, I am really not sure that particular problem is one bit worse in the US. Other than maybe by sheer population size making for a numerically larger pool of any given brand of asshole. At least as many per capita here, AFAICT, and they sure aren’t any less vile.

Any harassment like that is too much, and that bit of commentary just didn’t sit right with me tonight. Another thing that’s really not a competition.
