Hooooly shit. According to this writer, Xfinity is falsely impersonating its customers in order to post anti-net neutrality comments on the FCC website.

Try to even it out by visiting gofccyourself.com and hitting +EXPRESS and leaving a pro-net neutrality comment.

Oh, and they just sued a cease and desist against the website outing them on this:

Comcastroturf.com explains to the public that “someone has submitted nearly half a million anti-net neutrality comments to the FCC, many of which appear to be completely fake — using stolen names and addresses,” and gives anyone an opportunity to check if their name is being used without their knowledge. Today, Fight for the Future released a statement to announce that Comcast’s attorneys had sent them a cease and desist order that insists the group “take all steps necessary to see that the Domain Name [Comcastroturf.com] is assigned to Comcast.”

Oh

My name was on there and I’ve never been a comcast customer…. you better check for your name!

wow, I was on there too, and same here, never been a comcast customer in my life. check and make sure! this is so gross

SIGNAL FUCKING BOOST.

Fuck Comcast.

People’s Names Are Being Stolen To Flood The FCC With Anti-Net Neutrality Comments

Europe continuously hates Romani claiming “none of us have jobs” or that we “only live off welfare checks” when it’s literally Europe’s own fault that a disheartening large % or Roma live in poverty.

Roma are systemically denied their rights to education & non-discrimination in primary education and are overwhelmingly segregated in “Roma-only” schools/classes. Even when Roma children get the chance to attend “normal” schools non-Roma parents usually end up remove their children from those schools, resulting in the faculties becoming “Roma only” as well because of the large scale non-Roma departures.

A lot of Romani children have even been purposely misdiagnosed with mental disabilities as a result of culturally-biased diagnostic tools and anti-Roma prejudice among psychology and pedagogic experts and send to special schools for children with “mild mental disabilities” as well, when there is no need for them to be there.

As a result to that they are condemned to low-quality, segregated education and limited opportunities for further education and employment. Even though under national European and international law, discrimination in the field of education is prohibited, in practice it’s still happening and the authorities continue to let this discrimination slide which has far-reaching consequences for thousands of Roma children who remain segregated in inferior education that traps them in a cycle of poverty and marginalization.

On top of that a lot of Roma cannot get jobs because of racism, traditional anti-Romani attitudes and a mixture of prejudice against Romani. It’s not for no reason that Romani are deemed “Europe’s Most Hated.” A lot of Romani literally have to look through trash and look for scrap metal and copper that they can resell for a little money to survive, not having any other choice because nobody will hire them. (x, x

Europeans can shut the hell up, same goes for all you other racists. They are the reason why a lot of Roma live in poverty without any electricity, discriminated against and segregated in housing, schools and health care. Not able to get proper education or jobs yet they despise us for something that wouldn’t even be a problem if they would just treat us like equal human beings.

I grew up in a city with a big Romani population. The levels of discrimination are absolutely inhumane and mind blowing, and the worst part is how normalised it is. As a child I wasn’t even allowed to go near the Romani part of our neighborhood or have Romani friends because the common thinking is that they’re all dangerous criminals. Only now that I’ve moved away can I look back and truly realise how deeply fucked up the whole thing was.

When I was in 1st grade my teacher had to put my desk next to hers, away from the other kids, because I kept talking and disrupting class. It didn’t change until my mom came to open house and was appalled because that is, by far, one of the worst solutions to handling an ADHD child ever. That was the catalyst to me getting diagnosed. I just wanted to share because people don’t realize how much harm they can do; and I still think about this over a decade later and it still hurts.

I want to reframe this for you.

Your teacher didn’t have to put you there. She chose to do that. She may not have had any other tools at the time, but that doesn’t make it okay. There are absolutely better ways to deal with your behaviour, and I’m glad your mom got you assessed and got you out of that situation.

The Independent reports on the Gender Recognition Act reforms more inclusively

The Government is reportedly planning to reform gender identity rules to make it easier for people to choose their own gender in law.

Under plans being considered by ministers, adults will be able to change their birth certificates at will without a doctors’ diagnosis, while non-binary gender people will be able to record their gender as “X”.

The Sunday Times reports that changes will be included in a planned Gender Recognition Bill, set to be published in the autumn.

As part of this consultation, the UK government has a survey that is open to all UK LGBTQ+ people until October 2017 – click here to take part.

This is HUGE. :O
