Here’s the situation: While I can get surgery via my government health care, the current timetable on doing so is “anywhere up to four years,” and it may be pushed back further. I am unemployable, and Income Assistance has rejected me no less than four times for increasingly bullshit reasons. I’m left to beg for food and shelter from friends in the meantime. My family would gladly take me back with open arms… if it meant they were free to mentally and physically abuse me again.
Being here is terrible for my mental and physical health, for a number of reasons. I don’t feel safe, I can’t eat adequately on a regular basis, fighting for my basic care is an incredible drain… long story short, I’m not going to survive four more years of this.
There is an alternative, though.
In Arizona, I have a healthy, supportive, and welcoming home. My inability to work is a non-issue; I can live comfortably, surrounded by my loved ones. My mental health improves radically there, and I’m able to eat well without the guilt issues I have here.
The only catch: Surgery isn’t free. My datemate’s insurance will cover most of it, but we’re still looking at about $5000 in out-of-pocket expenses.
That’s where you come in. I feel like I’ve asked a lot of you already, but… this is it. The last donation post I will ever have to make. Just help me get to my loved ones, please.

Unfortunately, we’re not sure we feel comfortable with GoFundMe; in light of the recent buyout of YouCaring, unless somebody can suggest a better fundraising site before then, we may have to move to accepting donations via Paypal this summer. tbh I don’t see the fuss about having waiters/waitresses not being happy and enthusiastic like I came here to eat I didn’t come here to be amused by employees as long as I’m getting my food and they’re not being blatantly rude I don’t see why y’all need to go on yelp to rank a restaurant 0/5 and have an outburst on why your waitress didn’t smile at you when she poured you water
Our dog Zorro hasn’t been eating for the past several days and has been really lethargic lately. I’m super worried that something might be wrong with him in his old age and I need the money to get him to the vet as soon as possible. There is a place nearby that can see him and run tests for $100-120. If anyone could please send some money our way to help us take care of him, we’d greatly appreciate it. Any amount would help.
Something is wrong with Zorro’s kidneys and it’s possible he might need hospitalization in the next few weeks to deal with it. We have been doing everything we can to help him but we already owe $500 from this last visit. We’re struggling so much financially and we just cannot lose him to this. Please, if anyone can help us, any amount would really be appreciated. If not, please boost.
So tests results are back in and Zorro has a serious kidney disease… It’s going to cost $1800-2000 to treat. Please boost this post. I’m so desperate right now for help.
Zorro passed away yesterday… We plan on getting him cremated. The hospital says it’ll cost $120 to get him cremated on top of what we owe them already. If anyone can spare some money to help ease the cost of this entire ordeal, it would be greatly appreciated…
