So anyway, I haven’t seen this video come up on Tumblr yet, but if people could refrain from endorsing this woman should it start making the rounds, that would be much appreciated. No matter how funny or quirky she is, she should not be rewarded for pillaging a culture that does not belong to her!
Not nearly as unusual a happening as it should be, but I just get so tired sometimes. Especially with people outside that pub being the most common aggravation for a while now. I’m past there a lot, and of course alcohol is such a great excuse for lovely behavior like that 🙄
If traffic hadn’t been so heavy right then, I probably would have detoured further up the street away from that crossing right at the pub. After seeing that there was only one group of about half a dozen dudes at the outside tables, and no women in the group.
Shouldn’t need to avoid crossing there and walking by the pub, of course. But the predictability left me even madder and more exasperated today.
Well, that was interesting. Just back from buying some more cat food and miscellaneous up the street, after picking up those packages. (Thankfully somebody was home, because I wanted at least one of the items today.)
Anyway, the warm Friday evening collection of assholes outside that pub next to the shop decided it was more fun to hassle me than the young woman in hijab right ahead of me. Ignored her, then started yelling and hooting as soon as I went past.
Which, I am glad in a way, for her. But, I could have done without that too.
No idea what these grown-ass adult jerks are even triggering off of most of the time, but it sure does get old fast.
Not looking forward to it, but I had better go ahead soon and try to retrieve some packages from a neighbor I don’t know that I’ve every talked to before 😕
Amazon not only split an order up into multiple packages for no obvious reason, they came while I was asleep and left them all at a neighbor’s. Glad they found somebody home at that time, but still. Wish the delivery person had just put them over the back gate again, since it hasn’t been rainy today or anything.
Sir Cecil Chubb, who’d had no intention of bidding at the sale, bought it ‘on a whim’ as a gift for his wife who, it’s claimed, was none too pleased.
For the price of £6,600, the equivalent of £392,00 in today’s money, Sir Cecil Chubb’s intention that a “Salisbury man ought to buy it” was realised.
The story is from 2010, and one inflation calculator is showing that as the equivalent of £658,963.12 in 2018 (£529,140 in 2010). Idk which figure is closer, but that still sounds pretty cheap at auction now.
Oh man just watching what’s going on in Massachusetts with all the explosions and house fires. Nightmare.
just say no to natural gas infrastructure! they’ve been trying to build these explodable gas lines through small towns in new hampshire for export to europe as well. they skimp on building materials and maintenance just to make more money for themselves, and don’t seem to care about putting people in danger. currently they are trying to put a pipeline right next to a water reservoir that serves a major city in new hampshire. great idea! this is awful.
