@goblinthief – Thanks! That does sound like it could help keep some wildlife out.
Here, the only critters that you have to worry about raiding your garbage are rats and urban foxes. Hoping that just regular bins with lids that clamp on should do the trick. (Nothing with clever little hands to open them like raccoons. Or even stray dogs to knock them around.)
For whatever reason, our local council insists on bare bags at the curb for collection. Between executive function and honestly Mr. C being stubborn again, we’ve been doing without even cans to store them in until they need to go to the curb. (The neighbors all get bare bags piled up too, that I can see.)
So of course rats have started raiding the bags again lately, with the warm weather. It really freaks me out after they were getting into the house before, so yeah hopefully just getting that into some protective container will make them look elsewhere for easier pickings before that happens again š¦
