The Sacramento Public Library started a “Library of Things” last year, allowing patrons to check out, among other things, sewing machines and other items that patrons may find useful, but don’t need to own long-term.
what a fantastic idea
Londoners, we have a Library of Things too! It’s in Crystal Palace and you can borrow useful things from there. https://www.libraryofthings.co.uk/
England fans smash up an ambulance in ‘celebration’ of beating Sweden.
This is why no one fucking likes you.
This is why I’m watching with utter disgust as England get further in the World Cup. Not because I’m a chippy Scot who hates the English, but because a significant subsection of the “fans” are disgusting hooligans who will riot whether they win or lose, and will never shut up about their wins for literally decades.
I’m tired of being asked why I’m not supporting England. As if the French are ever asked why they aren’t supporting Germany.
The media coverage of the team is psychophantic and I cannae be arsed wi it.

The RRV (rapid response vehicle) was damaged and is likely now off the road and can no longer respond to emergencies until repaired. But think about the paramedic who was working on the RRV. These are lone responders who have no back up, designed to get to emergencies quicker than the bulkier and slower ambulances. They were either in the vehicle and must have been absolutely terrified and had to flee, or they were with a patient close by unable to stop this and no longer able to return for potentially life saving supplies for fear of their safety. What kind of person sees an ambulance and thinks ‘I know, I’ll trash it!’. Horrendous behaviour.
