super short story – my partner and I called out our managers for embezzling our monthly bonus checks and we both got fired. Texas is a “right to work” state but don’t let that fool you – that just means they can fire you for literally any reason, or no reason whatsoever.

anyway I got a new contract job I start in a week but that’s still a huge gap before we have got income again and we’ve got a 3 month old baby to take care of and rent coming due.

So I was working two jobs, I ended up having a meltdown (being mentally ill + the pressure of two jobs = recipe for disaster) and losing that job. My brother is supposed to be paying half the bills but has only covered a quarter, I’m about $150 short for my rent due on Wednesday.
