Apparently, almost 4 a.m. is grilled cheese time today.
So I was watching a video on Spontaneous Human Combustion recently, and obesity was listed as a possible cause of this possible, not even confirmed thing and I like… Lost it laughing? Like I know it’s definitely for fatphobic reasons, but all I could think is someone desperately grasping at straws for a reason people shouldn’t be fat and saying “you’ll… You’ll catch on fire!! From the inside!!”
I mean, it’s only marginally less ridiculous that some of the other things I’ve read.
Chronic Illness means always having to think about what other people are going to think. Will they still believe me? Does this look like I’m exaggerating my illness? Am I hiding this the right way? Do I look well enough? Do I look sick enough?
