Aqua Dragons – Day 13

Still not a great view in that container, but removing some of the algae on the front did help a bit.

They’re continuing to grow well, and it looks like some more of the eggs hatched. The larger ones are most visible, but I have noticed a few smaller younger-looking shrimp too for a few days now.

space shit is cancelled until we solve homelessness and poverty

I mean, the military budget of the USA is around 824.6 billion.

NASA’s budget is only 18-19 billion

It’s estimated that to end extreme poverty would take 175 billion dollars

Clearly, it’s space stuff that’s taking up all money that could otherwise go to help people.

We can’t cut the space budget. We need it to launch the billionaires into the sun

The space budget is where most of our climate change research is funded and the reason most republicans want to defund it or make it so they can choose what NASA funds is because of that

PLEASE HELP THE LILAC CITY UNGOVERNABLE ANARCHIST LITERATURE DISTRO (LCU DISTRO) RAISE MONEY TO STAY IN OPERATION!

What do you do?

The LCU Distro makes anarchist literature (including zines and books) as well as other items like patches and buttons.

Why?

The point of the distro is first and foremost to spread anarchist ideas, skills and imagery.

Is it free?

Kinda. We often have tabling events in which there will be a mix of free and for sale stuff. We also sell our books through ebay.

What is money used for?

For the large part to buy paper and ink as well as other small supplies we often need. We also would like to expand what kind of items we offer and improve their quality.

Was this stuff made in some sleazy sweat shop?

No. Most of it was made in the office shown above by myself.

How can I help?

Well, on one hand I’m glad I hadn’t managed to get to sleep yet before that notification showed up, because I really want that package and wasn’t expecting it until after the weekend.

OTOH, I am exhausted and that means setting an alarm for about 2 hours. Again.

(Also hoping it will come earlyish so I can get back to bed pretty quickly, but we’ll see. At least there is the working doorbell again.)
