EMERGENCY: HEDGEHOG ON A TINY CAMPING TRIP?!?!?!!!!! When I saw these pictures from hedgehog_azuki on instagram I was like EXCUSE ME WHAT and now I’m a different, more virtuous person who has been shown the glowing face of humanity’s truest potential and is forever changed by its everbearing gifts. Also it cleared my skin.
My friend’s family has a cockatiel named Lucky. Whenever Lucky gets upset, he sings an Apple ringtone. It usually happens when they tie their shoes to get ready to leave the house. It’s adorable, and also pitch perfect.
As some of you who’ve seen my reblogs about it, my friend @dislocated-cannibal has cervical cancer, and he needs to raise nearly $8,000 to pay for a full hysterectomy. In the two months he’s been making posts about the situation, he’s only gotten less than $300.
@dislocated-cannibal is a disabled nonbinary guy who can’t work, and has no income, due to physical and mental illness. His grandmother also died of cervical cancer, and this, combined with other stresses from health to family, are really ruining his time lately.
if you can, donate via paypal to breathof.freshass@yahoo.com
I’ve always had issues with my wisdom teeth but in the past few days, my gums have begun to swell and I fear there’s an infection.
Unfortunately, being an American who has to deal with their own healthcare, mine does not cover dental. It’s an unfortunately common issue, and this time around, being almost Christmas, I don’t have the funds to swing it!!
I am opening some baby commissions to help pay for it
you may contact me at novaya_estrella@hotmail.com, which is also my paypal
I also have a KO-FI, which is on my page, if you would just like to be a cool pal and donate
really and truly, every bit helps. I’m hoping to get a payment plan for my tooth (the total usually ends up being 300$ or more) but having something to get my foot in the door will help a ton
Thank you and I’m sorry! If you can’t help, please spread the word!!
Hey guys, as it turns out I actually need to have all FOUR of my wisdom teeth removed
I’m one of the few unlucky people who has two sets of wisdom teeth
As you might imagine, this is incredibly expensive and painful
I just turned to my housemate and said, “y’know, we’d never know if we were haunted” because we have four cats between us, so every clunk, bump, and crash gets entirely ignored
and now I want a movie about a ghost becoming increasingly desperate to haunt a family but they have cats and so the poor dear goes completely ignored
I’ve had this thought before. My cats aren’t allowed in the bedroom, and sometimes I hear them try to come in and just shout “No thank you!” at them. How hilarious would it be if I was really yelling at a poor ghost, trying to spook me.
Between my cat and my ADHD (wait, where did I put my purse? Wasn’t just here? Oh it’s in the pantry. Eh, must be a brain fail. Again.) I would never know whether or not my ass was haunted.
Now all we need is someone with psychosis seeing a demon and going, “Ugh. My meds are messed up again.” Demon goes, “No I’m real.” “Sure you are, Kevin.” “MY NAME IS BELZEBUB.” “SHUT THE FUCK UP KEVIN I AM TRYING TO STUDY.”
Harry Brite is an Inuk man who was born in Hopedale, Labrador but raised in St. Anthony on the Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland. During his younger years Harry worked as a fisherman and boat pilot, traveling all around the island working and adventuring. Nowadays he mostly stays in St. John’s, where he is a familiar face in the downtown area: “I’m always around. I’m here and there all the time, you’ll see me.” Many who do see him walking around town don’t realize his talents as a stone carver. Harry only started carving about 12 years ago, taking it up after watching someone else. He uses pyrophyllite stone for his carvings, and basic tools such as a hacksaw and a selection of files. Harry always notes the richness of color in the stone he chooses, as well as the different markings the stone has to offer. As an artist, he is concerned with how he executes form, while keeping his carvings focused on personal interpretations of iconic images and animals of the north. These include whales, whale tails, inukshuks and what he refers to as “hoods.” His hood carvings depict the faces of women, with winter hoods covering their heads.
The images above show Harry posing with some recent carvings from this past summer, as well as how the stone looks at the beginning stages of his work.
