So I work at a video game store in a mall and across the hall from us is this really nice suit shop. One day one of the guys came in an asked if they could use our microwave (the store they used to go to closed down) and we bargined for use of their bathroom in return since the mall bathrooms are like a 5 min trek.
So for like three months now we just have these men in really nice suits come in and talk while using our microwave and teach them about nerdy shit? Then I, the goblin king in various shitty tee shirts and paint stained pants, walk into their super expensive store and just get greeted with “Yo dude what’s good?” and talk about the pains of steaming silken dress shirts properly and it’s my favorite business interaction every day
A new jewelry store opened up right next to our store and when I used the bathroom today we were talking about it. I hate it on principle (they flooded our systems closet during building) and immediately both Suit Guys™ working went on mini rants. “Their suits are baggy as hell, I wouldn’t trust them to sell me a $9,000 ring when they can’t get a fitted jacket. They look so unprofessional, ” and “I saw one of the dude’s wearing a teal shirt. It’s fall, and you go with teal? At least get a color to match your store if you’re gonna ignore the seasons like that, Christ, but teal is awful.”
My cat Clyde is 13 years old. He’s one of the sweetest cuddle buddies I’ve ever had. He’s my emotional support animal, as well as my roommates’ ESA. He’s an amazing cat who deserves the best treatment and care, and unfortunately, he’s sick. Earlier this morning, we discovered blood in his urine and he was throwing up milky, foamy bile as well as not eating his food. We took him to an emergency pet clinic around 12 (noon) – around the same time we discovered the blood and vomiting – and were here for about four hours. He’s still currently there because he was unable to produce a urine sample for them to test for a UTI, but they took blood tests.
They discovered that his glucose levels were very high and that he has diabetes, but that is for a different time and a different post. This post is me asking for help to pay this medical bill so that when it comes to buying insulin and taking him to his glucose screenings, we’re more readily able to pay for those things. This medical bill is going to set me back a lot because as of right now, two of my three roommates are unable to help reimburse, and I have to pay about $1000 in student loans and rent a month. This cost doesn’t include my own medical bills, transportation fees, groceries, and other spending that happens in my day to day life. The medical bill was just short of $600
If you could share this or donate, even just a little bit, I’d really appreciate it. I hate to ask this, but I need help and Clyde needs help and I want him to be as comfortable and healthy as he can be.
Tag filtering is here Don’t see what you don’t wanna see
In our ongoing effort to help you all determine your own experience here on Tumblr, we’re launching one of our most requested features: the ability to filter out posts from your dashboard based on their tags.
Trying to avoid #Star Wars spoilers? Filter them out. Need a break from all the #holiday excitement this month? Sheesh, fine. Filter it out. It’s your dashboard. Groom it well.
Where do I set up a tag filter?
In your settings! You’ll find it in your general settings on mobile, under “Filtering.” On the web, you’ll find it in your account settings, also under “Filtering.”
That makes sense. Will I know when stuff is being filtered out?
Yup. Just like with Safe Mode, you’ll see a placeholder in your dashboard wherever something is being hidden. If you actually do want to see it, you can click/tap on it, and it’ll appear.
I follow some real nimrods. How can I stop seeing their posts?
Unfollow them! And if they’re really being a jerk, block them. And if they’re truly being hateful, report them.
Anything else I should know?
Sure. There are lots of other tools for making Tumblr the Tumblr you want to see. You can read about them all in our help center.
❤ Tumblr
we hath been blessed.
now, remember to tag properly, people! be respectful!
Awesome! Now I can make posts about commonly “scary” critters (spiders, snakes) without worrying so much about setting off a phobia for one of my lovely followers.
